The final report from the third Telecommunications Educational Seminars aimed at telecommunication systems and signal processing held in Hradec nad Moravicí at the 4th of September 2013.
The third Telecommunications Educational Seminar supported by the project "Development of Excellence of the Telecommunication Research Team in Relation to International Cooperation - CZ.1.07/2.3.00/20.0217" was held for one day in Hradec nad Moravicí at the 4th of September 2013.
During this seminar four lectures were presented. First lecture was given by Prof. Ilk and his lecture was named Hidden data transmission in Mixed Excitation Linear Prediction (MELP) coded speech using Quantization Index Modulation (QIM). The second lecture named Significance Map Coding in Video Processing was performed by Assoc. Prof. Ilgin. Both these experts came from Ankara University Turkey. Third presentation was introduced by Prof. Cheng from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. His lecture has had title Overload Control for Machine-type Communications in LTE-Advanced Networks. The last lecture of this seminar was given by Prof. Pleštys, who came from Klaipeda University Lithuania and his lecture was named Location-based and Signal Strength Level Assisted Routing Algorithms for Wireless Ad Hoc Networks.
Thanks to all presented specialized lectures the students had opportunity to take a closer look into the various problems in the field of hidden data transmission, map coding and video signal processing, LTE or routing algorithms.
